Barns and rural buildings for acreage properties
Barn style buildings give you a tall centre bay with awnings down each side. It's a practical layout for acreage and it looks right on a rural block.
One building, several uses
Most barns end up doing a few jobs at once: vehicles and machinery in the middle, feed and tack in the enclosed bays, stock or equipment under the awnings. Working out that split early keeps the layout simple.
Awning width is worth thinking about. A wider awning gives you real working space under cover rather than a narrow overhang.
Suited to the property
Barns sit in full view on most acreage blocks, so colours and proportions matter. We'll look at where it sits relative to the house, the driveway and prevailing weather before locking in the design.
